St Cecilia’s RC High School recently celebrated Interfaith Week with a series of engaging activities aimed at fostering understanding and unity among students and staff. Throughout Form-time, students explored the significance of interfaith dialogue using Padlet, presentations, and videos. They were also invited to participate in a creative competition, with entries showcasing their reflections on faith and diversity.
Staff contributed by displaying images of famous individuals of faith on classroom doors, creating a visible reminder of the week’s theme. Morning briefings featured meaningful contributions: Mr. Patel shared passages from the Qur’an, while Mrs. Bell led a prayer for Preston to become a vibrant interfaith city, drawing inspiration from the teachings of Jesus to promote peace.
These initiatives highlight the school’s commitment to inclusivity and respect for different faith traditions, reinforcing the values of harmony and mutual understanding within the community.
